Route Planner

Plan pulls on the real map, in the app or on the web, publish the route and follow it live.

Contents

Plan a route

Open Route Planner and pick a dungeon. Each one has its real map and real monster portraits.

  • Click a pack to add it to the current pull.
  • Ctrl+click adds one monster.
  • N starts a new pull; Shift+N inserts a pull after the active one.
  • Drag pulls in the rail to change their order.

Every edit shows whether the route reaches the required points.

Affixes and notes

Toggle the affixes your key has: Empowered, Ghorn and Witch, and Shadow Lord with its orb count. Add portals, invisibility pairs and numbered notes on the map.

Share a route

Import and export share strings that the community planners read.

Plan on the web

Open Routes on this website and press Plan a route. The web Route Planner reads the same maps and pack data as the app, so a plan made here is a plan the app can open.

  • Click or tap a pack to add it to the current pull, and start a new pull when that one is done.
  • Reorder and remove pulls in the list; undo and redo cover every edit.
  • No mouse needed: the arrow keys move between packs, Enter adds or removes the focused pack, N starts a new pull, and [ and ] step through the pulls.
  • The kill count updates after every edit, per pull and for the whole route.
  • Signed out, the plan stays in this browser. Sign in with Discord to save it to your account.
  • Portals, invisibility pairs and notes made in the app show on the web map; you edit those in the app.

The live part stays in the app: during a run it reads the combat log on your PC.

Publish and share

Publish a saved plan from the website and it gets its own page: the route on the map, its pulls, your notes, votes and comments. Publishing again from the same plan makes a new version and keeps its votes and comments; Unpublish takes the page down. The app's Route Planner gets its own Publish button in an app update.

  • Votes: signed-in players upvote a route once; pressing again takes the vote back. You cannot vote for your own route.
  • Sorting: Top is the most votes; between routes with the same votes, the one published more recently comes first. Trending weighs each vote by its age: a vote counts 0.5 ^ (hours since it was first cast / 72), so its weight halves every three days, and a route's trending score is the sum. Taking a vote back and casting it again does not make it new. New is the newest first publish; publishing a new version does not move a route up.
  • Comments: plain text, signed in. You can edit a comment for 15 minutes and delete your own. A new account can comment 10 minutes after it is made.
  • Add to my routes: copies a route into your saved plans, where you can open it in the planner.
  • Copy for the app: copies the route as a share string. In the app's Route Planner, press Import and paste it.

Route names, notes and comments go through a word filter: slurs are refused, other swearing is masked. Anyone signed in can report a route or a comment; three reports hide it until a moderator has looked. The terms say what you may post.

Follow it live

During a run the combat log marks what is dead, what you are fighting and what you walked past: dead pulls fade, the current pull breathes and skipped packs get hazard tape. A strip in the game shows the pull, the kills and your pace. This part needs combat logging; planning does not.

Present

F11 fills the monitor with the map and hides the app's chrome, for a second screen. Esc exits.
