Combat logging
What the combat log feeds, and how to make sure the app can read it.
What the log feeds
The combat log is a text file the game writes while combat logging is on. ShadowFellowship reads it for:
- Party relics: every party member's relics and their cooldowns.
- The spirit gauges: each party member's current and maximum spirit, from the log's own snapshots. The game logs no spirit for Gunde, so that hero's gauge shows a placeholder.
- Dungeon events: a new dungeon starts every relic timer fresh.
- Hero detection: a dungeon start names your hero, and the app switches to that hero's setup.
- The Route Planner's live mode: dead pulls fade, the current pull is marked.
It never feeds a buff. Buffs are read from the screen only.
Switch it on
Switch combat logging on in the game's settings. If Home says the log is quiet, check that switch first.
Where the log is
The app finds the game's combat-log folder by itself, in every Steam library on your PC. The Relic page shows the folder it uses, with an Open folder button.
Your character name
Type your in-game character name on Home, once for every profile. The combat log names every player in the party; the name tells the app which one is you.
Starting mid-dungeon
Open the app during a run and it reads back through the log to the start of the run, so the party and their relics are there at once.
