HUD profiles
Keep every hero's game HUD in step from one master profile.
Contents
HUD profiles arrive with the next Store update. This page describes how they work in it.
What it does
The game keeps a HUD layout per profile. The HUD page gives each hero its own profile, makes the game's My UI Profile the master, and lets each profile take each option from the master or keep its own.
You edit in the game
The app never moves HUD elements. Change your layout in the game's HUD editor and Save. When that option is inherited, the save goes up to the master and on to every profile that inherits it, at once or after you confirm: your choice.
Masters and followers
My UI Profile cannot be deleted in the game, so it is always there to be the master. A secondary master (one for healers, say) inherits from it and keeps a few options of its own. Profiles follow one parent, two levels deep.
Inherit, Copy and grid snap
- Inherit lists every HUD option against every profile. On takes it from the profile it follows; off keeps its own. Nothing reaches the game files before Apply.
- Copy sends options from one profile to others once, singly or in bulk, with the differences shown.
- Grid snap is set per profile, or one value for all.
Changes, conflicts and undo
Changes shows what the game saved, what the app wrote and what waits for you. If two heroes change the same option in the game, it asks which one the master takes. Every pass-on can be undone, and checkpoints put every profile and the hero list back as they were.
When the game is running
Some writes wait for the game to close. A change to the hero you are playing shows after you swap to another hero and back: the game reads a profile when a character loads.
