Placing the buff bars

Put a box over each buff row and match the game's icon size to it.

The two bars

The game draws two buff rows: Hero buffs and Important hero buffs. ShadowFellowship reads each one from a box you place over it. Switch each bar on or off on Home.

Place the boxes

Press Position buffs at the top centre of the window, on every page, or Ctrl+P. The game stays clickable while you place them. Drop each box over its buff row.

The square at the right end of each box is the size of icon the app reads. The rightmost icon of the row sits in that square.

Match the icon size

ShadowFellowship reads one buff size: 47 px icon frames. Set the game's buff icon size so its icons match the square. Each box turns green when its icons match and red when they do not, with the advice in large type.

On 1080p and 1440p screens the game's default UI scale gives that size. The game scales its interface by the window's shorter side, so at 4K lower the game's UI Scaling until the icons fit the square.

One placement per screen

A placement belongs to a screen size and a character profile. If you change resolution, Home says the bar is not placed for the new size; press Position buffs again.

Nothing shows?

  • The bar is switched off on Home.
  • The bar is not placed for your current screen.
  • The buff has no icon: it wears a warning dot in the Buffs list, and its tooltip says why.

Buffs are read from the screen only; the combat log never shows a buff.
